Changes....

have no idea if I can even figure out how to do this but I am going to give it a try. As you know, I have been digi-scrapping for quite some time now. I would love to work myself into designing and or doing (I think it is called) Scrap-4- hire < making scrapbooks for others, also. I think that would be so much fun. But of course, I have no clue in the world how to go about it so... as per my usual style... I will just wing it as I go along.
All the scrapbook sites and groups I have looked at said mostly that I need a blog. Well I got that step covered anyways... Next step I am guessing is actually using said blog. I can do that. So you girls get to be my guinea pigs LOL... (Thanks in advance for reading it with me)
I am not sure how this is going to work but I think I will post my pages I make here so others can see them. I will also post links to kits belonging to designers I am making pages for. I will just be winging it after that.
If any of you actually start working with your Creative Memories programs you will be able to find links to some pretty kits to buy. Or I can always design albums or frame-able pictures for your vacation photos or Special days! LOL
Anyhow, away we go with my blogs new purpose in life. I will always be here to keep you amused and updated on my wacky life but now I will also share my scrapbooking passion with you. So without further ado.. here is my 1st link. I am not sure if I posted it right but if you R click the link actually opens so it is not ALL wrong.

Beautiful day...

What a beautiful day today. The snow is melting like crazy. When Teyla and I were playing outside yesterday, there was still snow under the swing set. When we got home from work today most of the snow has melted. At this rate we will not have any snow left by the weekend. There will be no more puddles for splashing in...boo! We were outside both Saturday and Sunday, splashing our way through every single puddle in the yard and down the lane. I got smarter by Sunday afternoon and pushed the stroller while Teyla splashed her way down the lane. When we got to the end and she was too tired to hike it back I just pushed her instead of having to carry her.
I noticed that the lily bed is completely bare now. The dirt is calling to me. I can see a bit of early flower bed cleaning coming up.
I made a fun new piece of yard art to put out...as soon as there is not too much snow down the turkey trail. I made a gnome door. Last fall I found the perfect fallen tree for a gnome house. It kind of broke and fell over about 3 feet up from the ground. With a little door on the base, close to the ground I am sure a  gnome will move right in. And the best part is the tree is a bit back from the road so for the kids to spot it they will have to be looking around while they walk. I will tell them a story all about the little forest gnome that Teyla and I spotted while out walking, mentioning that I think maybe he lives somewhere near by.
Will let their curiosity take it from there.
Well "Then She Was Two" has been sent to the printer. Another book done. I will bring it to show you all before I give it to Teyla. Once she has looked at it with her little jam dipped fingers it is a bit sticky to share around. Now to pick my next scrapbook project.

Ruminating....

Very cool word...ruminating....sounds fancy...I looked it up in the dictionary ( on-line of course). To ponder, to muse.... meditate. Yep very fancy word. then reading on...
to chew cud....okay...that shattered the whole illusion. I still quite like the word but I am now stuck with a rather bovine visual.
We did a lot of ruminating on lust and sex last night.
It just this minute popped into my head... follow me here...
picture our very 1st bible study meeting....close your eyes and look around the room...
picture the crowd.... now picture the less than serious parts of our discussion from last night happening in this room.... hahahaha.... nope.... can't make it focus....
We, my dears, are an extremely unusual group. A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll!
So I have been very busy at work these past few days. *joke*
Actually I have been. I finally finished the family cookbook I have been working on since December. 62 pages...wheeww... I think it turned out very nice. I hope the rest of the family is as pleased with it as I am. I snuck a picture of Teyla in on the last page!
This past week I have been working on her "Then she was 2" book. They are a lot of fun. I have been scrapping and watching Stargate Season One. It is great fun to pour over the photo memories of the past year and pick what will go into the book. It makes it all the more enjoyable because she loves her little books. We look at the pictures in the 1st 2 all the time.
I am pondering a nature- yard type book for Cornell next. I will have to see how many pictures I can come up with.
I never told you...we had a family dinner with my side 2 Sundays in a row. One for Teyla/ great-grampa's birthday at my parents house and then this past Sunday at Joey's for my sisters 50th birthday. I survived both with only a small amount of irritation and a mild rash.  One more to go. Must have an Easter dinner also.
I am excited for that one though because I get to do the Easter hunt thing. I saw a "Jelly Bean" bird the other day and I am pretty sure they are nesting in our yard.

Sickies

Okay well this has been a day I would not like to repeat anytime soon. Started getting sick about 11pm last night. It has been years since I've had the flu. I am usually very careful to avoid any flu-ish people. Some one slipped past my flu radar. So up on and off all night. Not fun! Decided to stay home from work and try and rest. The phone rings at 7:30 am and it is Sam. She has the flu and wants to come home to be sick. So home she comes. Not a fun day for Teyla. Both mommy and amma sick. We took turns napping and looking after her. Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day.

garden time

I spent the afternoon looking at garden art pictures. I am very excited for spring to come now. There are so many cool ideas on the net for flea market style yard art. I want to make bird houses out of old boots, broken chairs into planters, mason jar outdoor candles,a miniature fairy garden. The list goes on and on.
All those beautiful pictures in Better Home and Garden magazine....definitely not taken in my yard.
Up-cycling...Yay! Rumor has it, I take shabby chic to a whole new level. But it sure is fun.
Right now i am trying to talk Cornell into a giant turtle that is at Home Hardware in Rivers. He is sitting right in front of the door when you 1st go in the store. We are in HH at least once every couple of days. Whenever we go in he ( the turtle) calls to me.
"take me home"
"I want to live at the farm"
"please"
I keep asking Cornell to listen but so far he can't hear the beast. I am pretty sure that between me and the turtle, we are wearing him down though.
I definitely see a giant turtle living by my pond this summer.

Welcome

Well I did it, I Googled how to start a blog. It is actually pretty easy. So here it is...my very 1st blog.
And Deb. K is not even around to read it! LOL She is very lucky though. I would much rather be squishing a sweet smelling baby than reading this.
Or laying on a beach somewhere...you go Marlene!
But instead of any of that fun stuff, here I am.
